introduction to maya

Today I spent some time introducing my self to the 3D computer animation software Maya. After downloading the free student software I began to research Youtube video's in order to establish the basics of using the computer software. Below I have attached one of the Youtube video's which helped me learn the basics. This video has several following series of video tutorials explaining Maya. I also have began to watch these video's.

This video goes about explaining the navigation of maya, the creation of basic geometry, manipulation of objects and componant selection. This was really helpfull and informative when first opening maya, as I thought the software was enitially quite daunting.
