Croma key hyperlapse's

I created this Idea when storyboarding the final shot. I wanted to use a hyperlapse within my film idea. I thought that a great Idea was to have the dead zombie at the end of the film decomposing in a hyperlapse.

When thinking about how to film this, I encountered immediate problems. Firstly to add the correct amount of detail in special effects make up to the actors arms, would require a large amount of time. Therefore, I needed to think of a solution. My solution was to use croma key (green/blue screen) for the actris. This would allow me to have the detailed special effects make up added on in a contolled lighted area, which I could add to  normal hyperlapse.

The method which I though up, was to use a slider with a tape mesure taped onto it. This would allow me to create a hyperlapse in real time of 1mm camera movement to a 5 second picture interval. This would create a hyperlapse without the zombie at first, and then allow me to use the same rig in a blue screen room just without a time interval between each picture shot.

Below is a picture of my camera set up on the slider, with a tape measure.
