Music

The sound element to my short film will be extremally important. Therefore, the background music which I need to choose will be very influential in the editing stages. The piece of music which I have decided to use for my short film is Shostakovitch's fifth symphony movement 3. The reason I chose this price was because it is a very powerfull movement expressing the pain and suffering of the Soviet people.

I believe, like Steven Spielberg that the use of a good piece of music can significantly affect the way a film flows. Shostakovitch uses many different motifs within the third movements, thus allowing me to edit specific sections to my piece.

I plan to seek copy right issue in the future. Below I have attached a version of the piece which I particularly enjoy. However I will need to use a different recording as this has many live features of people coaghing, mobile phones ringing etc.
