Gun prop laws

I have spent some time researching what the laws are for firearms in filming. I established through several forums, which I have listed below, that I ultimately need to contact my local police station on the day of filming to inform them of what my intentions are for that day. Other people have stated that it is important to make it aware to the general public what the intentions of us is. For example, people have suggested to inform all general members of public, who may be walking by. Other people have suggested using signs off set stating that it is a film.

On my filming shoot I plan on including all of the suggestions and requirements as I have stated above. Below I created a sign (using microsoft word), which I will be displaying when filming outdoors. below I have attached a picture of the sign.
